Jane Grabhorn was a feminist printer who operated Jumbo Press. The Jumbo Press expressed feminist thought process and value through its print. The Jumbo Press/Jane Grabhorn challenged the male dominant print press industry by moving away form the limits imposed on printing and introduced creative license.
Grabhorn valued in physical work of female. Being able to do physical labour and getting hands dirty was an important value that Grabhorn sought after to be a feminist printer.
The Jumbo Press did not garner high prices at the time of their production, but its value is measured by their subversive qualities against traditions of printing history.
